Area Summer Baseball Camps
Summer baseball camps are a great way to have your child continue to learn and improve at the game of baseball, and have a lot of fun. Here is a partial list of available area baseball camps. If there's a camp you know of that's not listed, please drop us a line at

- AtBats Summer Baseball Camps
These camps are led by Suffolk University Baseball Coaches Cary McConnell and Jeff Mejia. The camp includes a combination of baseball training & recreation: hitting, fielding, base-running, pitching & catching, conditioning & game preparation. Instructional scrimmages and game situations. Held at Liberty Field in Boxborough, MA.
- Athletes Edge Summer Baseball Clinics
Summer baseball clinics with an experienced coaching staff, led by head coach and trainer Dan Magrath. The clinics are highly instructional covering all aspects of the game: catching and throwing, hitting, fielding, pitching & catching, game situations, and base running. There's a controlled scrimmage each day. Held in Harvard, MA.
- Dan Duquette Sports Academy
Weekly sessions running throughout the summer. Sports training center for players who are interested in learning baseball and life skills from distinguished high school, college, and professional coaches.
- TeamWorks
Boys and Girls ages 6-12 are welcome to attend. Coaches teach children the fundamentals and techniques of the game, as well as provide them drill work to improve mechanics. Included is a trip for Fenway Park.
- Star Camp
Star Baseball Camp is running two sessions, July 6-10 and July 20-24, at Concord Carlisle High School for boys ages 6 to 15. The Camp is in its 27th year and is run by Bob Starensier, the Athletic Director and Head Baseball coach at the Fenn School. Star Baseball camp is staffed by teacher/coaches. The camp day includes skill development focused on infield and outfield play, hitting, pitching, catching and game situations. Controlled scrimmages are also a part of the day. The goal of the camp is to help boys grow as players and have fun playing the game.
- Wolfpac Baseball Camp
(Formerly Colonial Baseball Camp) The week-long camp is run by area coach, Steve Donovan. He has extensive coaching experience at the AAU, high school (AB and Littleton) and college levels, and has held highly successful baseball camps and clinics in Acton and the surrounding communities since 1984. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 12 who are interested in improving their baseball skills and having fun. Learn the fundamentals and techniques of throwing, catching, pitching, fielding and hitting. Positioning and game play will also be covered. The instruction is individualized so that all abilities are welcome. Participants should bring their baseball glove, wear sneakers or cleats and bring a baseball bat, if desired. Also bring a bag lunch, snack with drink and cooler. The camp will be held regardless of weather. Session 1 runs June 29 to July 3, 2009. Session 2 runs July 6 to July 10.
